Sacrilegium

Very original Italian / Slovenian progressive which sounds like absolutely no other band. The music is very dark and sinister and is characterizated by the demonic and unique vocal style of Mr. Doctor. The lyrics are often just spoken
in a very evil sounding way. The album consists of one 48-minute long piece with a lot of different influences. I can hear chamber music, symphonic and dramatic classical passages, progmetal and even some parts with accordion. The album has a concept about a man lying in his own funeral and thinking(?!) back on his life. The whole piece is very interesting, amusing and theatrical all the way through. This is also one of the very few progressive albums without a
70's sound that I in fact like. If you're tired of clones and wants to check out something totally unique then you should try "Sacrilegium".
